The Dunlop Univibe attempts to emulate the classic rotary speaker effect from the good ol' days. The Univibe is capable of two main effect tones, a classic thick sounding chorus effect, or wobbly vibrato effect. With the Univibe you can go a long way to re-creating some of the classic tones you'll have heard on old Hendrix and Pink Floyd records. You can also make you guitar tone sound as if it's being played from under water, as any good chorus should.
The Univibe features three control knobs, Rate, Intensity and Volume, as well as two switches that switch on and off the Chorus and Vibrato. You can also hook up an expression pedal to give you more real time control over the effect. The unit is rock solid, and looks like it could survive a 10,000 foot drop.
Famous known users of the Dunlop Univibe include Mike McCready and Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam, Munky of Korn, and Tony Rombola of Godsmack.
