Maxon AD-9 Analog Delay
->
Even though Digital Delay has come a long way, a lot of guitarists still favor the warmth of the old school analog delay pedals. The Maxon AD-9 Analog delay is one of the nicest sounding analog delay pedals in its price range. It can provide between 10ms to 300ms of analog delay/echo with no clock noise. This makes it ideal for a range of uses, including rockabilly slapback, ambient delays and the just plain weird.
The AD-9 features a combination of one Panasonic MN3205 BBD IC and one Signetics NE 570 compander. The pedal has both Dry and Wet outputs allowing the use of two amplifiers at once, which would have the potential to sound absolutely huge!
If you can't track down the fabled Boss DM-2 Analog Delay, then the AD-9 is worthy of strong consideration.
